LG's 17 Inch Tuf-Tex Blow-to-Burst Test

 :)

17 incher, Tuf-Tex (Maple City Rubber Co, Norwalk, OH, 44857, USA

Pictured "out of the bag"

a 17 inch tuf-tex hangs

about 7 inches

from nozzle to nipple.

(Mouse-over pics
for more info!)

Using a "Data Vac", with airflow restricted.After a near-burst

 stretching,

the balloon now

hangs about

11 inches!

Ready to bust it?

Here we go!

3/4 inch copper adapter, covered with latex, balloon then banded on. Excitment builds! Restricted airflow prevents neck damage.
About the size of the pre-inflate stretch.. No stopping now! Even as the neck grows, the width continues to increese!
Some of the larger shreads. Many fine shreads are about the room.

Pictured above, 1/30 of a second before bursting,
it's bulb is greater then 30 inches!
(The desk next to it is 31 inches high.)
BAMM !
With an explosive report,
the balloon bursts into a sea of shreads!
1/30 of a second ! What a differencee!

Same with Mr Yellow. (no pre-stretch) Pop was louder then red. May be color, or red pre-stretch.

Note the larger neck, but smaller bulb.

Damm! That was good :)

Less of a central hub. Still finding pieces a day later!
